While the ongoing Ukraine conflict is not officially on the agenda of the upcoming BRICS summit, participants are free to bring up the issue if they wish, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed in a recent statement to Izvestia.
“This is not on the summit’s formal agenda, but any participant is welcome to discuss it as they see fit,” Peskov said.
The BRICS summit, set to take place in Kazan from October 22-24, will focus on strengthening multilateral cooperation.

Under the theme “Strengthening Multilateralism for Equitable Global Development and Security,” the summit reflects Russia’s commitment to deepening partnerships within the BRICS framework.
The Ukraine conflict, while not a central topic, could still become part of the discussions given its global significance and impact on international relations.
