MedTravelExpo 2025 in Moscow to Boost Russia’s Health Tourism and Export Services

The forthcoming MedTravelExpo 2025 is scheduled for December in Moscow and is positioned as Russia’s largest specialized exhibition and congress project focused on developing the medical and health tourism industry. Supported by the Russian Ministry of Health, the event’s core objective is to significantly strengthen the export of wellness and healthcare services. The expo aims to facilitate the implementation of national projects focused on ‘Long and active life,’ ‘New technologies for health preserving,’ and the national development of ‘Tourism and hospitality.’

The five-day event will showcase innovations across medical technology, rehabilitation, and health resort treatment. Key themes include connecting health resorts, medical organizations, tourism agencies, and insurance companies to streamline the provision of services. The expo also supports the demonstration of scientific achievements made during the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia, helping to improve the professional skills of specialists in the field.Russia is actively promoting its capabilities in medical tourism, which is already valued at over $2.36 billion (2024 estimate) and is projected to grow significantly by 2033, driven by recognized expertise in oncology, neurosurgery, and cardiovascular care, alongside competitive pricing. The event is essential for attracting foreign buyers and expanding cooperation, with previous workshops facilitating agreements with partners from countries including the UAE, Egypt, and Kazakhstan.
