Ineos Grenadier to Take Part in Tanzania’s Iringa Rally Challenge

Date:

The upcoming Iringa Rally challenge in Tanzania is set to be spiced up with the maiden entry of a new machine, the Ineos Grenadier. The event is one of the most action-packed rounds of the National Rally Championship and is scheduled to be flagged off in Iringa on May 13th and 14th.

Exciting Preparations Underway

According to Amjad Khan, the Chairman of the Iringa Motor Sports Club, preparations for the two-day racing are going well, and everything is in place. He emphasized that the rally is not just about seeing cars compete but is also an excellent platform for promoting the growth of motorsports in Tanzania, with many people lined up to participate.

Promoting Tourism and Utilizing the Opportunity

Khan also noted that the rally would help promote tourism in Tanzania as it is taking place in Iringa, where there are many tourist attraction places. He thanked the government of President Samia Suluhu Hassan for allowing the rally to take place at Sao Hill Forest, which is owned by the state. Khan encouraged Iringa residents to utilize this opportunity economically as many people will be in the region for the rally.

Exceptional Event

Clerk of the Course, Jabu Maalim, stated that the event is an exceptional opportunity for Tanzania to make a step forward in motorsporting. “All necessary conditions to govern professional rally have been considered as such, we invite many people to come and be part of history making as far as this sport is considered,” he said.

Ineos Grenadier as a Route Opener

CMC Automobiles is the main sponsor of the contest for the first time, and CMC Automobiles Sales Manager, Jennifer Gower, stated that it is a privilege for their latest brand, Ineos Grenadier, to be a route opener for the rally. “Grenadier is a purpose-built car and for the first time, it will be introduced in the country as a zero car for the rally as such, people should come in big number to see this powerful brand,” she said.

Ford Fiesta as a Force to be Reckoned With

For many years, Tanzania’s motor rallies stood up a Subaru-Mitsubishi Evos, but this time around, the Ford Fiesta has been a force to reckon with in many events staged there.
In conclusion, the Iringa Rally challenge is set to be a thrilling event for motorsport enthusiasts in Tanzania and beyond. The Ineos Grenadier’s maiden entry, coupled with the other impressive vehicles, promises to make this year’s event one to remember.
