UAE: Shock attack in Gulf as US military base in Dubai hit by Iranian Shahed-136 drones amid tensions

Iran has reportedly carried out a major drone attack on a US military site in Dubai, according to Iranian state media. Reports claim that a Shahed 136 drone struck a building in Dubai where American military personnel were present. Iranian outlet Press TV shared footage online alleging the impact caused significant damage. There has been no immediate official confirmation from US or UAE authorities regarding the extent of the damage or possible casualties.

Earlier Strike Reported on US Embassy in Saudi Arabia

The Dubai incident follows an earlier reported drone strike on a US embassy building in Saudi Arabia. Initial reports suggested a fire broke out after the attack. However, later information indicated that the embassy was empty at the time, and no injuries were reported.

Qatar Says Most Missiles and Drones Intercepted

Meanwhile, Qatar’s Ministry of Defence said it intercepted most Iranian projectiles fired towards the country after hostilities began.

Saudi Arabia Intercepts Eight Drones

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defence also confirmed that it intercepted and destroyed eight drones near the cities of Riyadh and Al-Kharj.

The official spokesperson, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, said air defence systems successfully prevented the drones from reaching their targets.
