Saudi Arabia Showcases Innovation and Startups at Biban Forum 2025 in Riyadh

Date:

The Biban Forum 2025, held in Riyadh on November 7, 2025, served as a major platform for Saudi Arabia to present itself as a prime global destination for startups, innovation, and international investment. Organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at), the forum attracted participants from across continents, including entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and global business leaders, all focused on aligning with the Kingdom’s overarching Vision 2030 goals.

The event focused heavily on how the entrepreneurial ecosystem is central to diversifying the Saudi economy and shifting away from oil dependence. Key discussions centered on improving the regulatory environment for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), boosting access to venture capital (VC) funding, and accelerating the adoption of digital technologies. Saudi Arabia aims to significantly increase the SME contribution to GDP from 20% to 35% by 2030.

Biban Forum’s success signals growing international confidence in Saudi Arabia’s burgeoning tech scene. The Kingdom has rolled out numerous initiatives, including specialized funding programs and easy visa pathways for foreign entrepreneurs, successfully drawing global startups and investors into the local market. This concerted effort is nurturing a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem essential for job creation and long-term economic resilience.
