Samsung Innovation Campus to Train 20,000 Indian Students in Future-Tech Skills

Date:

Samsung is expanding its Innovation Campus (SIC) across India, committing to equip 20,000 students with advanced technology skills in 2025. The program, aligned with the Government’s Digital India and Skill India missions, will now cover 10 states—up from four in 2024—bringing future-tech training to both urban and semi-urban communities.

Students enrolled in the program will receive hands-on training in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Coding & Programming. Alongside technical expertise, the curriculum also emphasizes soft skills and workplace readiness. Eligible candidates will benefit from placement assistance to help transition into high-growth industries.

“Samsung Innovation Campus reflects our shared vision with the Government of India to unlock opportunities for young talent and accelerate digital empowerment,” said JB Park, President & CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia. “By expanding this program, we are ensuring that underserved communities also gain access to the skills of the future.”

To scale its reach, Samsung has signed two major partnerships. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) will train 10,000 students in states such as Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and West Bengal. Another MoU with the Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) will extend training to 10,000 more students across Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Maharashtra. Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu are expected to see the highest participation, with 5,000 students from each state.

Since its launch in 2022, Samsung Innovation Campus has already trained 6,500 students. With this expansion, the initiative aims to democratize access to emerging technologies and strengthen India’s digital economy, preparing the next generation for jobs in the global tech ecosystem.
