On Wednesday, the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported that its aircraft had delivered humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip.
The cargo, totalling approximately 30 tonnes, was received by representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society.
“The Il-76 aircraft of the Emergencies Ministry delivered the 31st batch of humanitarian aid for the civilian population of the Gaza Strip. Russian rescuers handed over about 30 tonnes of humanitarian aid to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society. It included food, tents and sleeping bags,” the ministry said.
In total, Russian flights have delivered some 800 tonnes of cargo since the humanitarian mission began: food, medicines, clothing and other essentials, the ministry added.
