One of Europe’s largest livestock exhibition was held in Spain this week

FIGAN 2023, the largest showcase for the livestock sector in Spain and one of the largest in Europe, has opened its doors this week. The exhibition features innovations and technologies in livestock farming, with a focus on sustainable development, digitalization, and animal welfare. This year’s event, which took place in Zaragoza from March 28 to 31, welcomed representatives from all aspects of the industry, from livestock production to supply and processing.

Opportunities to exchange innovations and best practices

FIGAN 2023 is an important event for the livestock industry, offering opportunities to exchange knowledge, innovations, and best practices. The exhibition aimed to get closer to customers through innovation, technology, and knowledge. The exhibition presented concepts such as digitalization, sustainability, and precision livestock farming. The event featured 987 brands from 26 countries, occupying an area of 77,083 m2 located in six pavilions. Exhibitors from various sectors of the livestock industry showcased their products, services, and equipment, ranging from agri-energy to food processing machinery.

Royal Federation of Breeding Stock Associations of Spain

One of the stands presented at FIGAN 2023 was the Royal Federation of Breeding Stock Associations of Spain (RFEAGAS). RFEAGAS represents 96% of Spanish thoroughbreds, uniting 121 associations of breeding farms of thoroughbred horses, donkeys, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens, camels, and snails.
