Nigerian Singer Tems Faces Backlash Over Oscar Outfit

Date:

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tems is facing backlash over her Oscar outfit last night. Her outfit blocked the view of other attendees who were sitting behind her, and has since left social media users in disarray.

The Nigerian Grammy award winner was nominated for Best Original Song for the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” track “Lift Me Up”, thus the reason to her attendance.

Her outfit design, a headpiece with a puffy white gown that wrapped around the back of her head, is now a topic of discussion on social media after photos of the “Crazy Tings” hitmaker quickly went viral on Twitter.

Although Tems did not take home an Oscar, but she sure does, for the good or bad reasons, made the headlines.
