Ministry of Education and Higher Education Finalizes Development of “Educational Institutions Licensing” Platform

Date:

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has officially announced the launch of its newly developed “Educational Institutions Licensing” platform, now fully operational to deliver comprehensive services to various educational entities across Qatar.

This initiative is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the digital infrastructure of the private education sector, simplifying administrative procedures for all stakeholders involved.

The “Educational Institutions Licensing” platform is designed to boost administrative efficiency, offering users a streamlined and secure digital experience. Educational institutions can now swiftly obtain necessary licenses and manage procedures, ultimately enhancing the quality of educational services.

Omar Abdulaziz Al-Naama, Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education Affairs, highlighted: “The introduction of this platform marks a significant step in automating educational services. It aligns with the vision set forth by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, supporting Qatar’s National Vision 2030. Through this initiative, we aim to optimize procedures and elevate efficiency, fostering an attractive environment for investment in the education sector in line with the nation’s needs.”

Dr. Mona Salem Al-Fadhli, Director of the Information Systems Department at the Ministry, emphasized: “Launching the Educational Institutions Licensing Platform represents a crucial move in our digital transformation journey, adhering to the latest technological standards. This platform provides a seamless, integrated experience for submitting electronic applications for all licensing services related to educational institutions, such as nurseries, schools, private kindergartens, and educational centers. It enables investors to handle, track, and complete transactions through a single, fully automated portal, eliminating the need for in-person visits to licensing departments.”

The platform offers a wide range of electronic services for investors, such as managing educational centers. These include issuing and renewing licenses, changing ownership, modifying activities, appointing new directors, updating locations, and obtaining permissions for advertisements or events. The platform also supports services for nurseries, including license issuance and renewals.

By activating this platform, the Ministry aims to support Qatar’s National Vision 2030 by providing a modern digital infrastructure that enhances the quality of private education while ensuring robust oversight of educational institutions. This transformation significantly improves the services available to investors, promoting a more efficient private education sector in Qatar.
