London’s International Food Event: A Showcase of Industry Trends

Date:

The International Food Event (IFE) recently took place in London, with thousands of food and drink professionals from around the world coming together to showcase the latest trends in the industry. With representatives from countries such as Romania, Poland, and Italy, the event offered everything from sausages and cheese to sweets and snacks.

Innovation and Tradition

Visitors had the opportunity to sample a wide range of products from around the world. One of the highlights of the event was the focus on innovation, with many suppliers showcasing new and exciting products. Meat substitutes were particularly popular, as were vegan cookie doughs and other plant-based options. However, traditional family businesses were also well represented.

One such business was Orkney Ice Cream, a third-generation family business that has recently pivoted from being a traditional dairy to focusing on making ice cream. Graham Bichan, a representative from the company, was thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase their products outside of Scotland, and visitors to the event were equally impressed with their vanilla creamy ice cream with rich flavor.

A Chance to be noticed

For many exhibitors, the International Food Event was a chance to get their products noticed and make valuable connections in the industry. Aisling Tuck, who was exhibiting her range of Naked Bakes vegan cookie doughs at IFE for the first time, was excited to introduce her products to a wider audience. Already popular in Ireland, her cookies were a hit with visitors to the event, who appreciated their delicious taste and vegan-friendly ingredients.

Overall, the International Food Event was a resounding success, offering a glimpse into the latest trends in the food industry and showcasing both innovation and tradition. With so many exciting products on display, event demonstrated the ongoing creativity and vitality of the food and drink industry. it’s clear that there’s still plenty of room for new ideas and developments in the world of food and drink.
