Is Happy Mashiane Leaving Kaizer Chiefs?

Date:

Could Happy Mashiane’s journey with Kaizer Chiefs be ending? Reports suggest SuperSport United and AmaZulu are eyeing the Tembisa-born defender.

Kaizer Chiefs fans may soon say goodbye to one of their promising academy graduates, Happy Mashiane. The 26-year-old defender, who was promoted nearly six years ago by coach Ernst Middendorp, has only managed 61 appearances during his time at the club. With his contract set to expire in June next year, reports suggest that Mashiane could be on his way out of Naturena.

SuperSport United and AmaZulu are rumored to be interested in signing the Tembisa-born player. This potential move could allow him to secure more game time, which has been limited during his stint with the Amakhosi. Sources from Soccer Laduma indicate that both clubs are closely monitoring Mashiane’s situation.

Kaizer Chiefs have been navigating a mixed start to the season. The team recently suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in the Carling Knockout quarterfinals. Currently in eighth place in the league standings, Nasreddine Nabi’s squad has managed two wins, two losses, and one draw so far. Fans are hopeful that the team can improve their form as they move forward.

The next match for Kaizer Chiefs is set for Wednesday, 27 November, at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, where they will face Richards Bay. Kickoff is scheduled for 19:30. Richards Bay, sitting in 12th place with just one win from seven games, will be looking to turn their season around, making this a crucial fixture for both sides.

Kaizer Chiefs supporters will be watching closely to see how Mashiane’s career unfolds in the coming months and whether a move to SuperSport United or AmaZulu materializes.
