The Ghana Football Association has decided to part ways with head coach Chris Hughton following the national team’s early departure from the Africa Cup of Nations.
The decision, announced on Tuesday, comes in the wake of Ghana’s disappointing performance in the tournament.
Appointed as the head coach after the 2022 World Cup, Chris Hughton’s stint with the Ghanaian national team has been cut short.
“Chris Hughton has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the senior national team with immediate effect,” the GFA said. “The executive council has also taken a decision to dissolve the technical team of the Black Stars.”
