The FIFA Intercontinental Cup Qatar 2024 is set to unite football fans worldwide for an electrifying tournament from December 11 to December 18. Featuring six top continental club teams, the event promises world-class action across three highly anticipated matches.

Match Schedule and Venues

  • Opening Match: FIFA Derby of the Americas
    On December 11 at Lusail Stadium, Mexico’s C.F. Pachuca, the 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup winners, will face the champion of the 2024 CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores. The Libertadores title is yet to be decided between Atletico Mineiro and Botafogo on November 30.
  • Second Match: FIFA Challenger Cup Qatar 2024
    The December 14 game at Stadium 974 will feature the winner of the opening match against Al Ahly SC, the 2024 CAF Champions League champion.
  • Final Match:
    On December 18, Qatar’s National Day, the FIFA Challenger Cup winner will take on Real Madrid, the reigning UEFA Champions League title holders, at Lusail Stadium.

Tickets and Accessibility

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) has announced that tickets will be available on FIFA’s official ticketing platform starting November 21, with exclusive pre-sale access for Visa cardholders beginning November 16. Prices range from QAR 40 for the first game to QAR 200 for the final match. Fans can purchase up to six tickets per person.

Both Lusail Stadium and Stadium 974 will offer fully accessible seating options, ensuring an inclusive experience for all attendees.

Hassan Al Kuwari, the LOC Executive Director of Sales, Marketing & Communication, highlighted the significance of hosting this prestigious tournament in Qatar.

“Qatar is proud to host some of the world’s best clubs and biggest stars. This tournament marks another milestone in our football journey, especially with the final taking place on Qatar’s National Day at Lusail Stadium.”

To ensure a seamless event, 450 volunteers have been selected to assist visitors and enhance the tournament experience. With strong turnouts expected from Egyptian and Mexican communities supporting Al Ahly SC and Pachuca respectively, the atmosphere is set to be electric.
