Seven U.S. Non-Profits Receive Funding

After receiving hundreds of applications earlier this year, Carhartt is proud to announce that seven non-profit organizations have been selected to receive its latest round of grants. ANEW, Building Pathways, Chicago Women in Trades, Nontraditional Employment for Women, Oregon Tradeswomen, Tradeswomen Inc., and Vermont Works for Women will each receive a portion of the $225,000 grant money to support women in the trades.

Carhartt Champions Women and Diversity in the Trades

Linda Hubbard, President and COO at Carhartt, said that the company’s commitment to advancing women is a fundamental part of their goal. The For the Love of Labor grant program is just one way Carhartt is evolving to support the next generation of workers. By backing like-minded organizations, Carhartt is providing fulfilling job opportunities and helping pave the way for women who want to work.

Founded in August 2022, Carhartt’s For the Love of Labor grant program supports community-based non-profit organizations that educate, train, and place workers into meaningful skilled trade jobs that are critically needed across the country. The grants are awarded to eligible U.S.-based 501©3 designated organizations in recognized apprenticeship industries that have established programs serving at least 100 individuals annually.

The next formal call for submissions will be announced later this summer, with grants being awarded in celebration of Labor Day 2023.

By supporting like-minded organisations, Carhartt is providing opportunities for women to work to their full potential. These grants will undoubtedly contribute to the continued growth of a diverse workforce in America. Carhartt’s For the Love of Labor grant program is a shining example of how companies can make a real difference in the lives of individuals and communities.
