Putin Congratulates Russian Road Builders, Hails Industry ‘On the Rise’ with New Corridors

President Vladimir Putin extended greetings to current and former workers of the Russian road construction industry on their professional holiday, celebrating their hard work in building and maintaining the nation’s vast transport network. Putin emphasized the critical importance of their trade, noting that their efforts in building motorways, elevated roads, bridges, and tunnels are crucial for ensuring safe and reliable connectivity, which directly impacts the quality of life and the development of all Russian cities. He acknowledged that this vital work is often done in challenging and “extreme conditions.”

Putin noted with satisfaction that the Russian road construction industry has been “on the rise in recent years.” This success is largely attributed to “smart management decisions” and the extensive introduction of modern technologies and materials. These efforts have resulted in the construction and renovation of hundreds of kilometers of federal, regional, and local roads, alongside the creation of major logistics hubs and transport corridors.

The President highlighted the industry’s progress in upgrading infrastructure and successfully advancing private-public partnerships to a new level. Putin concluded his message by expressing confidence that the professionals will continue to work honestly and achieve their set goals for the benefit of the Motherland and the nation, reinforcing the strategic role of road infrastructure in Russia’s broader economic development.
