World business is interested in investments in Ukraine

Date:

Large international business is interested in the projects offered by Ukraine within the framework of the Advantage Ukraine campaign. In particular, it concerns the prospects of cooperation in the fields of metallurgy, energy, agriculture, investment and financial.

The deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Oleksandr Griban announced this live on the National Telethon.

“Ukraine is a market of extremely large opportunities. Investors who will come to Ukraine first will get the most advantage in the future. Some time will be spent on checking the proposed projects. It is not less than six months. That is why we are convinced that such work can be started today so that in six months it could be immediately started to implement the project,” Oleksandr Griban said.

According to him, the Government is actively working on the organization of investment insurance.

“Guarantee instruments are discussed with individual governments of partner countries and with the World Bank Group, the multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA)”, – Griban noted.

Also, the Deputy Minister noted the interest of large international business already during negotiations in New York:

“In particular, in the areas of metallurgy, energy, agriculture, investment and financial. We have had successful meetings with U.S. companies Steel, Honeywell, Halliburton, strategic communication with ExxonMobil, Chevron. We plan to join Tesla in the communication. Many interesting large-scale projects and corresponding contractors who are able to implement them. We start with big strategic investors, because this process is the longest and most difficult.”

Ukraine focuses on all areas that provide for generating added value.

“Our goal is to organize production in Ukraine and support its own producer. Therefore, all projects provide for a high level of localization or participation of local Ukrainian partners. Ukraine has a number of advantages due to its geographical location, as well as a number of priority trade relations with our foreign partners. This makes our state a profitable platform for the placement of production and representative offices of well-known companies,” Alexander Griban said
