Ukrainian Documentary Shines Amongst Oscar Nominees

Date:

The Academy Awards ceremony, also known as the Oscars, is set to take place on March 12-13, 2023 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The event will begin at 3 am Kiev time and will be broadcasted in Ukraine by the Public TV channel. The ceremony is a highly anticipated event in the film industry, as the winners of the prestigious awards are expected to experience an upsurge in their career, demand and popularity.

Jimmy Kimmel, an American comedian and broadcaster, has been announced as the host for the upcoming ceremony. This will be Kimmel’s third time hosting the Oscars, having previously hosted the event in 2017 and the Emmy Awards. Kimmel is known for his comedic wit and is expected to bring a fun and entertaining element to the ceremony.

The nominees for the 2023 Oscars were announced on January 24, with ten films being nominated for Best Picture. Additionally, a Ukrainian film titled “House of Splinters” has been nominated for Best Documentary.
