The Billionaire’s Wife becomes Showmax Ghana’s most-watched project

Date:

Ghanaian project The Billionaire’s Wife has become the most-watched title ever on Showmax in Ghana. The drama series has achieved this feat just a few weeks after its launch in March 2023. The project has also been the number one most-watched title on Showmax in Ghana every week since its release.

Producers Danny Adotey and Collins Amlalo feel proud to have done this project for Showmax and are thrilled to see their work recognized. This success encourages them to continue to improve in this area.

Lead Actor and actress

Lead actor Kingsley Yamoah was delighted to learn about The Billionaire’s Wife’s viewership success. Yamoah plays the role of Bill Gyimah, a no-nonsense billionaire.

“Never has any work I have done permeated my soul and lit it up as The Billionaire’s Wife has done”, Kingsley Yamoah said.
“I believe this will open more doors and create more opportunities from Showmax to actors in Ghana,” he added.

Lead actress Andriana Akua Amegbor, a newcomer in the Ghanaian film and TV industry, feels blessed that her journey has started with such great success. “This achievement makes me believe that God is always with me”, she said.

All-star Cast

The Billionaire’s Wife has an all-star cast, including Roselyn Ngissah, Ken Fiati, Pascaline Edwards, Selassie Ibrahim, Helen Lois, Lankai Quarcoopome, Ophelia Walker, Godwin Kwesi Blay Ekra Jnr, and newcomer Florence Nana Ama Agyei. The Billionaire’s Wife is the third Showmax Original in Ghana, following the success of the Shirley Frimpong-Manso drama ENO and the docu-reality series My Perfect Funeral. Both titles were among the top 10 most-watched shows on Showmax in Ghana in 2022.

The success of The Billionaire’s Wife shows that Ghanaian content is gaining traction. The show’s success is a testament to the hard work put in by the producers, the cast, and the entire crew.
