Synectics Secures £2.3M in Oil and Gas Contracts Across Qatar and Brazil

Date:

Synectics, a UK-based leader in security and surveillance technology, has achieved a significant milestone with the announcement of two major contract wins in the oil and gas sector. Together valued at £2.3M ($2.89M), these projects reaffirm Synectics’ technical expertise and its position as a trusted provider of advanced security solutions for critical global infrastructure.

Enhancing Security at Qatar’s Al-Shaheen Oil Field
The larger of the two contracts, valued at £1.8M ($2.27M), has been awarded by North Oil Company (NOC), a key player in Qatar’s oil production. This partnership focuses on the Al-Shaheen oil field, Qatar’s largest, and aligns with NOC’s expansion of its offshore Ruya Project.

Synectics will deliver its cutting-edge COEX camera station technology to strengthen surveillance and operational safety on offshore platforms. The deployment, scheduled in two phases in 2025 and 2026, marks the third phase of Al-Shaheen’s expansion where Synectics’ solutions have been implemented.

Amanda Larnder, Synectics’ CEO and CFO, expressed pride in this ongoing collaboration, stating,
“We are honored to continue supporting NOC on this prestigious project, which reflects our trusted partnership and the effectiveness of our advanced technologies.”

Securing Brazil’s Offshore Operations
The second contract, worth £500,000 ($629,000), involves providing specialized security and surveillance solutions for a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel off the coast of Brazil.

Synectics’ technology will enhance situational awareness, ensuring operational safety and compliance with offshore standards. Larnder emphasized the significance of this achievement, saying,
“This award highlights Synectics’ commitment to supporting critical offshore operations with innovative, reliable technology tailored to the energy sector’s needs.”

These contract wins underscore Synectics’ growing presence in the global energy sector and its role in enhancing the safety and security of vital oil and gas infrastructure.
