Statistics South Africa to Release Q2 2025 GDP Data on 9 September

Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) will unveil the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) results for the second quarter of 2025 during a media briefing scheduled for Tuesday, 9 September 2025, in Tshwane. The Q2 GDP data will provide an overview of how the country’s various economic sectors performed between April and June 2025, offering insights into growth trends, sectoral contributions, and overall economic momentum.

Media representatives will receive embargoed data at 11:00 AM, allowing journalists to review the information ahead of the official release. No presentations or cameras will be allowed during this period. The press conference will officially commence at 11:30 AM, at which time the embargo will be lifted and Stats SA officials will present the results.

The briefing will take place at the Statistics South Africa building (ISIbalo House), 1 Koch Street, Salvokop, Pretoria. Journalists unable to attend in person can join the press conference online via Microsoft Teams, ensuring wide access to the data.
