Egypt exported nearly 200,000 tons of food products during the week ending September 16, 2025, according to the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA).
The shipments, handled by 1,150 companies, spanned 675 categories, including vegetables, fruits, flour, and processed foods, with exports reaching 184 countries worldwide.
Vegetables accounted for 33,000 tons, led by sweet potatoes (13,000 tons), beans (5,000 tons), and potatoes (4,000 tons).
Fruit exports stood at 30,000 tons, dominated by mangoes (10,000 tons), followed by pomegranates and strawberries (8,000 tons each).
The NFSA highlighted that Morocco, Algeria, Sudan, and Lebanon were among the main destinations, reflecting Egypt’s growing role as a regional food supplier.
Officials emphasized that the strong performance underscores both Egypt’s agricultural competitiveness and its expanding export footprint across global markets.
