Sierra Leone International Jay Tee Kamara Signs Three-Year Deal with Ljungskile SK after Two Months with AIK Freetong FC

Date:

Jay Tee Kamara, a Sierra Leone international, has signed a three-year contract with Swedish Division One club Ljungskile SK, barely two months after joining AIK Freetong FC as a free agent.

Kamara’s contract with Columbus Crew 2 in the United States terminated on December 31, 2022, and he signed with AIK Freetong in January 2023. AIK Freetong handled the return of the player’s International Transfer Certificate (ITC) from the US Soccer Federation to the Sierra Leone Football Association after signing him.

Since February 2021, Kamara, a 20-year-old attacker, has played for many clubs in the United States, including Louisville City, North Carolina FC, and Columbus Crew 2.

He is recognized for his fast feet and dribbling abilities, and he has represented Sierra Leone at the U20, U23, and senior levels. He recently appeared in a double-header U23 match between Sierra Leone and Zambia, and he was also a member of the Leone Stars side that competed in a friendly match against Algeria B in the UAE in November 2022.

AIK Freetong FC extended their best wishes for Kamara’s new adventure and praised their transfer middlemen, Global Soccer Management (SL) Ltd. and Fella Sport Management, for their assistance. Kamara, with his talent and potential, will surely be an addition to his new squad and a delight to watch for Swedish football fans.
