Ideal Technologies Empowers Youth Entrepreneurs in Bo District with Tailored Skills Training Programs

Ideal Technologies has successfully conducted tailored skills training programs for young people in Bo District that includes Solar Backpack Production, Fertilizer Production and Solar Panel Installation.

Over 70 participants were trained in innovative skills and added entrepreneurship to promote employment and economic growth of the district.

The Director of SOS children’s villages in Bo, District, Mr. K.C Douder gave the keynote address to inspire the youth to embody the tenets of entrepreneurship and make good use of the skills gained.

He advised them to make good use of the skills in creating jobs for themselves and their peers to their families lives.

The amazing part of the program was the product showcasing and testimonies of trainees.

They presented organic and none organic fertilizers, and school bags that have started generating income and jobs for these young entrepreneurs.

The next phase for these young entrepreneurs who have gained a passion for entrepreneurship is to join IFA Sierra Leone’s business cohort for a tailored business management training.

The project was sponsored by SOS Children’s Villages through its SOS Emergency Relief Programs designed for the urgent needs of children, youth and their families.

SOS Children’s Villages has supported vulnerable children, young people and families in Sierra Leone since 1974.
