Shell India Hosts Third Edition of ‘Changemakers of Tomorrow 2025’ to Drive Energy Innovation

Shell India convened the third edition of its flagship event, ‘Changemakers of Tomorrow 2025,’ in Bengaluru on September 16–17, 2025. This gathering brought together over 6,000 attendees, including innovators, policymakers, academia, entrepreneurs, and partners, to spotlight breakthrough technologies and collaborative solutions driving India’s journey toward a net-zero energy future.

The event was inaugurated by Nivruti Rai, MD & CEO of Invest India; Mansi Madan Tripathy, Chairperson of Shell Group of Companies India; Robbert van Rutten, EVP of Information and Digital Technology at Shell; Selda Gunsel, CTO at Shell; Ajay Mehta, VP of Research & Innovation at Shell; and Pratibha Priyadarshini, VP of HR at Shell India. Together, they emphasized the importance of innovation and collaboration in achieving India’s net-zero ambitions.

The first day featured keynote sessions, panel discussions, and masterclasses exploring how technology is powering the transition to a secure and lower-carbon future. Notable speakers included Arundhati Bhattacharya, President & CEO of Salesforce South Asia; N Venu, MD & CEO of Hitachi Energy India and South Asia; and Satyakam Arya, CEO of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles.

A highlight of the event was a fireside chat between Nandan Nilekani, Co-founder and Chairman of Infosys, and Robbert van Rutten, where they discussed how technology is reshaping the energy landscape and the transformative role of digital innovation in accelerating the transition to a low-carbon future.

The second day focused on empathy in leadership, phygital partnerships, innovation in gas, and the Shell.ai Awards. A keynote by Shantanu Naidu, General Manager and Head of Strategic Initiatives at Tata Motors, titled ‘The Language of Care,’ explored how empathy fuels innovation. The panel ‘Powering the Future of Digital Infrastructure & Data Centers’ featured experts discussing emerging technologies shaping smart data centers.

Shell’s partners, including Microsoft, HP, CGI, Salesforce, Accenture, AWS, C3.ai, Infosys, TCS, IBM, T-Mobile, and SLB, reinforced the importance of cross-sector collaboration and digital innovation in shaping India’s energy future.
