Russia’s Passenger Car Production Soars by 41.4% in January-October 2024

Russia’s automobile industry has demonstrated remarkable growth in 2024, according to the latest data from the Russian State Statistics Service (Rosstat). Over the first ten months of the year, the production of passenger cars surged by 41.4% compared to the same period in 2023, reaching an impressive total of 599,000 vehicles.

October Achievements in Passenger Car Production

October 2024 marked a milestone, with production increasing by 54.1% year-on-year to 91,200 vehicles. Compared to September 2024, production also grew by 39%, showcasing the sector’s steady recovery and expansion.

Truck Manufacturing Growth

The production of trucks also experienced significant progress. Between January and October 2024, 161,000 trucks were manufactured, an 11.4% increase over the same period last year. October alone saw 19,400 trucks produced, a year-on-year growth of 9.3% and a 2.6% rise compared to September 2024.

Bus Production Trends

In the category of buses weighing over 5 tons, production climbed by 14.5% to 12,400 units during January-October 2024. However, October saw a slight decline of 4% year-on-year, producing 1,300 units, though this represented a 2.3% increase from the previous month.
