Noida and Ghaziabad Property Registration Paused for Four Days for Server Upgrade 🇮🇳

Date:

Stamp and property registration services in the districts of Noida (Gautam Budh Nagar) and Ghaziabad will be suspended for four days, from November 8 to November 11, 2025. This temporary shutdown is necessary to facilitate a major server migration by the Uttar Pradesh Stamp and Registration Department. The department’s current online portal, operated through the NIC-managed Meghraj cloud server, is being transitioned to the more centralized and robust National Government Cloud (NGC). Officials emphasized that this upgrade is crucial for enhancing the system’s overall reliability, speed, and data security.

The suspension period covers all registration services, including new property registrations, document registrations, sale deeds, gift deeds, and lease deeds. While the suspension runs for four days, officials noted that November 8 and 9 fall on a weekend when sub-registrar offices are typically closed, effectively minimizing the impact on the public to two working days: November 10 and 11. However, with both districts collectively handling around 1,300 registrations daily, the two-day halt is expected to cause a significant temporary dip in state revenue. The long-term goal of migrating to the NGC is to streamline the registration process. Post-migration, the department aims to reduce the entire procedure—from online submission to final sub-registrar approval—to just 10 minutes, making the process faster, more transparent, and citizen-friendly. Officials have instructed all sub-registrar staff to remain present in their offices on November 10 and 11 to assist with server testing and ensure a smooth resumption of services on November 12.
