Noida and Ghaziabad Property Registration Paused for Four Days for Server Upgrade 🇮🇳

Date:

Stamp and property registration services in the districts of Noida (Gautam Budh Nagar) and Ghaziabad were temporarily suspended for four days, from November 8 to November 11, 2025. This mandatory halt was implemented by the Uttar Pradesh Stamp and Registration Department to facilitate a major migration of the online portal. The department’s current NIC-operated Meghraj cloud server was transitioned to the more centralized and robust National Government Cloud (NGC) to significantly enhance the system’s overall reliability, speed, and data security.

The suspension covered all registration services, including new property registrations, sale deeds, gift deeds, and lease deeds. While the migration spanned four days, the effective operational loss was concentrated on November 10 and 11, as November 8 and 9 fell on a weekend when sub-registrar offices are typically closed. With the region collectively processing around 1,300 property registrations daily (700 in Gautam Budh Nagar and 600–650 in Ghaziabad), the two working-day interruption resulted in a measurable short-term dip in state revenue. The long-term strategy behind the migration to the NGC is to streamline the registration process and improve transparency. Once integration is complete, officials expect the system to provide more seamless access to records and better resilience against downtime. All sub-registrar staff were directed to remain present in their offices on November 10 and 11 to assist with server testing and ensure a smooth resumption of routine services on November 12.
