Iran Launches “PetroCrowd” Crowdfunding Platform for Oil and Energy Projects 🇮🇷

Date:

Iran has launched its first dedicated crowdfunding platform for the oil sector, named “PetroCrowd,” developed under the oversight of the Research & Technology Fund of the oil industry. The innovative platform is designed to connect a broader base of institutional and individual investors directly to technology-driven energy projects, effectively becoming an alternative financing mechanism that bypasses traditional, limited banking resources.

PetroCrowd is prioritizing investment in projects that enhance efficiency, innovation, and technological advancement across the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries. These ventures range from the development of new extraction technologies and refinery optimization to the modernization of industrial monitoring and control systems. The goal is to fund critical projects that support the long-term sustainable development of Iran’s energy sector.

This launch reflects Tehran’s aggressive efforts to innovate financing mechanisms and build resilience against international sanctions and shifting global energy landscapes. By promoting transparency, employing professional project management, and utilizing smart contracts, PetroCrowd aims to foster greater private-sector participation and accelerate the completion of over 30 major oil projects needed to maintain and increase production capacity.
