Ukraine Crisis Media Center organized a special event on March 19th to commemorate the birthday of renowned Ukrainian poet, Lina Kostenko. The project “Lina Kostenko: an answer to everyone” was carried out under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, and aimed to celebrate the poet’s work and promote Ukrainian culture and values.
Promoting national values and culture
Lina Kostenko was a celebrated poet in Ukraine and her works were known for promoting national values and culture. The “Lina Kostenko: an answer to everyone” project brought together a diverse range of personalities, including Ada Rogovtseva, Nina Matvienko, Valeria Guzema, Taras Topolya, Jamala, Dmytro Monatik, Oleksandr Usyk, and 8-year-old Kira Kasynets, winner of national and international public speaking competitions. The participants presented selected works by the poetess and highlighted the importance of promoting Ukrainian culture and values.
The Music
The music for the project was composed by the talented violinist and composer, Oleksandr Bozhyk, who is also the concertmaster of the Lviv National Opera Orchestra. The Bozhyk Duo, comprising of Oleksandr and Yulia Bozhyk on violin and piano respectively, performed the music for the video project. Additionally, the film features the famous song “Mam” by the band Skryabin.
This initiative showcased the importance of Ukrainian culture and national values through the works of celebrated poet such as Lina Kostenko. With the “Lina Kostenko: an answer to everyone” project, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine has successfully promoted Ukrainian culture and values to a wider audience, both within the country and beyond.
