Ethiopia: Tigray to Host a Trade Bazaar

Date:

The Ethiopian Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration (MoTRI), the Tigray Regional Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations, and Amnen Marketing and Promotion have joined forces to host a one-month trade bazaar in Mekelle, Wukro, Adigrat, and Maychew.

The event, according to the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration, will begin on April 29, 2023, with the goal of encouraging economic activity in the Tigray area under the subject “Tigray’s Business Activity for Regional Peace.”

Furthermore, by delivering basic commodities to the community, the trade mart aims to alleviate product shortages and reestablish people-to-people interactions. The trade fair is intended to attract public corporations and private investors who will display their products and services.

The Deputy General Secretary of the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectorial Associations, Degala Ergeno, spoke about the occasion and stressed the bazaar’s critical role in encouraging commercial operations in the area.

He also emphasized how the commercial bazaar will promote the free mobility of people and aid in the restoration of interpersonal ties.
