Dubai Launches AI Acceleration Taskforce to Drive Digital Transformation Across Government

Date:

Dubai has outlined an ambitious strategy to accelerate Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration across all government entities, solidifying its goal to become a global leader in smart technology transformation and digital efficiency. This strategic move is spearheaded by the newly launched Dubai AI Acceleration Taskforce, approved by Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed. The Taskforce is designed to make government entities a “model of agility and efficiency in integrating AI” and advance a unified innovation strategy.

The initiative will be powered by the complementary launch of the AI Infrastructure Empowerment Platform, aimed at providing the necessary digital backbone for widespread AI deployment. This drive is part of Dubai’s overarching vision, which targets an AED 100 billion annual contribution to the city’s economy and a 50% increase in productivity through the implementation of innovative digital solutions, aligning directly with the ambitious Dubai Economic Agenda D33.This massive AI push is already evident in ongoing government projects, such as the deployment of AI-powered inspection vehicles (showcased at GITEX Global 2025) and the development of AI-native platforms like TAMM 4.0 in Abu Dhabi. The focus is on automating public services, utilizing predictive technology, and streamlining complex processes to deliver seamless, personalized citizen experiences. Dubai is also nurturing its tech ecosystem by launching a “Unicorn 30 Programme” to support emerging companies on their journey to becoming billion-dollar enterprises.
