The Ukrainian Fashion Week (UFW) has partnered with the Association of Light Industry Producers of the Republic of Moldova (APIUS) to organize the Moldovan Brands Runway, a highly anticipated fashion event held in Chisinau, Moldova. The UFW team mentored and consulted with APIUS for several months leading up to the event, which showcased collections from leading Moldovan brands as well as two Ukrainian brands.

Ukraine Takes the Lead in the Fashion Industry

UFW’s initiative to support Ukrainian fashion was also well-received internationally. Three Ukrainian fashion brands – FROLOV, KSENIASCHNAIDER, and PASKAL – showcased their collections at the London Fashion Week, as part of the “Support Ukrainian Fashion” initiative. The initiative aimed to promote Ukrainian designers and their work, and it was joined by 12 fashion weeks in Europe and the United States. The event was supported by the USAID Competitive Economy Program, and it showcased Ukraine’s fashion industry and its potential to contribute to the global fashion market.

Overall, these events demonstrate Ukraine’s growing influence and credibility in the creative industries, particularly in the fashion industry. The successful collaborations between Ukrainian Fashion Week and APIUS highlight Ukraine’s willingness to collaborate with other countries and promote its creative industries and culture on a global stage. By supporting Ukrainian fashion and showcasing it internationally, UFW has not only provided a platform for local designers but has also contributed to Ukraine’s overall economic development.
