Cameroon Film Festival 2023: Nollywood, Workshops & Screenings

The sixth edition of the Cameroon International Film Festival, also known as Camiff, is set to take place from April 24th to April 29th in the capital of Cameroon’s southwestern region, Buea. The event, which is supported by Prince Agbor Gilbert Ebot, promises to be an exciting one, with the participation of Nollywood stars and Cameroonian filmmakers.

Opening Evening

The event will open on April 24th with the screening of the highly acclaimed feature film, Heavy Axis by Nkeng Stevens, at the W Cinema from 6:00 pm. This is expected to be a great start to the festival, and attendees will get the opportunity to interact with industry professionals.

Program of Events

The festival has a comprehensive program of events that will keep movie lovers engaged throughout the week. From April 25th to April 28th, there will be a masterclass on filmmaking by Musing Derik and Takong Delvis Mezzo at the Mountain Hotel. René Ettat and Gobina Simon will teach attendees about cinematography, while Nkanya Nkwai and Goretti Etchu-Egbe will be talking about screenwriting.
