Book Pie: Ukraine’s New Online Gastronomic Bookstore

Co-founder of Foodies Agency Jan Zadan and chef Timur Gabuev have launched a new online bookstore called Book Pie that specializes in gastronomic books. The two founders previously searched for and brought various books on food and cooking to themselves and colleagues as a hobby. Now, they have turned this passion into a business venture by opening a store that offers both new and used books.

A Passion Turned into Business

Jan and Timur’s passion for food and cooking motivated them to create Book Pie. They saw an opportunity to share their love for gastronomy with others by providing a variety of books to help people learn and expand their knowledge of the culinary arts. The store offers mix of new and old books, all related to food and cooking.

Books on Offer

Some of the books already available in Book Pie include “Vegetable Ocean Forest,” a retrospective of 20 years of activity of NOMA, a book that explores the people, space, food, and creativity of the world-famous restaurant; “ON NEGOTIATE. Modern Recipes for the Home Kitchen,” a culinary book by California chef Jeremy Fox that redefines vegetable cuisine; “first look: Relae,” a book of inspiration from the founder of the famous restaurant Relae, and “THE BOOK OF ST. JOHN,” a modern classic  in honor of the 25-year anniversary of the restaurant, famous for combination of simplicity and innovation and respect for quality ingredients.
