Bayern ‘Overtake’ Man Utd, Chelsea in Chase for Nigeria’s Osimhen

Date:

Sky Sports Germany reported that Bundesliga league leaders Bayern Munich are determined to strengthen their attacking option, with Osimhen as the main target.

Information also emerged that the Napoli cult hero is reportedly considering the offer in an effort to avoid the pressure associated with the glamorous Premiership League.

Bayern are looking for a new top scorer for the upcoming season after a subpar performance on Tuesday night at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium in a 3-0 thrashing.

Football transfer analyst and Sky reporter, Florian Plettenberg, said “Osimhen wants and would switch to Bayern immediately. He’s in the mood for Munich. He was already in the Bundesliga and didn’t ignite at Wolfsburg, but the signs have changed.”

The Napoli striker declared in March that playing in England was one of his goals. However, information from Sky claims that the Nigerian is certainly considering moving to Munich.

During the Julian Nagelsmann era, it appeared like Cameroonian forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting would begin the next season as FC Bayern’s starting striker. Still available as options are Thomas Müller and the youthful Mathys Tel. However, since then things have changed, and the Munich club is undoubtedly looking to improve their underwhelming offence.

However, Premiership heavyweights like Manchester United and Chelsea have the resources to entice the striker away from Napoli, whilst Bayern Munich will need to abandon its $100 million transfer policy to put an end to their chase.
