Baltimore Amazon Employee Has Won $50,000 from Lottery Scratch Card

Date:

An Amazon employee from Baltimore, Maryland, has made headlines after winning his second big lottery prize in as many months. The 56-year-old man won $50,000 from a $5 scratch card in February, just a month after he won $30,000 from a similar card in January.

The Maryland Lottery revealed that the man, who chose to remain anonymous, bought the winning ticket from a local liquor store. When he realised he had won the $50,000 prize, he said he was in disbelief and called his girlfriend over to confirm his good fortune. He has not yet decided how he will spend the money, but mentioned the possibility of going on holiday with his girlfriend for her 60th birthday or buying a new car.

The scratch card game that the man played, Crazy 8s, offers hundreds of thousands of prizes, but most range between $5 and $1,000. The top possible win is $50,000, which the man was lucky enough to win.

The man also won on two other scratch cards he bought at the same time, pocketing $20 on a $1 card, and recouping the cost of a separate $5 card.

In the beverage store where he bought the cards, Rosedale liquors Mitt in Roswood, east of Baltimore, he will receive a bonus of 500 dollars from the Merilendskiy Lottery.

While it is uncommon for someone to win multiple lottery prizes in such a short time, it is not impossible. In December 2022, a man from Massachusetts won the lottery six times using his “intuition”.

Winning the lottery can change a person’s life overnight, and it is always fascinating to hear about people who have had such luck. Story of an Amazon employee from Baltimore has attracted attention both locally and nationally, and people are curious to see what he will do with his winnings.
