ADvTECH Launches Emeris, Unifying Top Higher Education Brands in South Africa

Date:

JSE-listed ADvTECH has unveiled Emeris, a new private higher education brand that brings together its Varsity College, Vega School, and MSA brands under a single name. The launch marks a significant step in consolidating ADvTECH’s educational offerings, aiming to deliver a more integrated and innovative learning experience for South African students.

A centerpiece of this initiative is a R420 million mega campus in Sandton, Johannesburg, which will merge the existing Varsity College Sandton and Vega Bordeaux operations. Slated to open in 2026, the campus will initially accommodate 9,000 students. It will feature state-of-the-art facilities, including a double-storey library and information centre, a student experience hub with career and counselling services, a custom-designed indoor sports centre capable of hosting international events, and advanced innovation spaces such as IT labs, podcast studios, and interactive mock classrooms.

Emeris reflects ADvTECH’s commitment to meeting evolving student and industry needs while strengthening its differentiated brand portfolio. The consolidation under a single brand is designed to enhance collaboration, foster innovation, and provide students with diverse, high-quality educational pathways. Geoff Whyte, ADvTECH Group CEO, highlighted that this strategic alignment reinforces the company’s vision of delivering an enriched educational experience, tailored to market demands, and positioning the group for long-term growth in South Africa’s higher education sector.
