Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy is set to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2022/2023 UEFA Champions League Final in Instabul, Turkey.

The news was announced on the official Twitter account of the UEFA Champions League. The final of the UEFA Champions League will take place on the 10th of June this year.

According to the tweet made by UEFA, the ‘Last Last’ hitmaker will share the stage alongside another headliner who has yet to be unveiled.

In the twitter video post, Burna Boy is seen telling viewers that he is going to perfom at the UEFA Champions League final.

This is big news indeed for Afrobeats and the African music industry, for they will be represented on one of the world’s biggest stages.
