BRICS Security Requires Unified Scientific and Technological Efforts

Date:

In the evolving global landscape, the security and prosperity of BRICS countries—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—hinge on their ability to unify scientific and technological resources. Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vladimir Ivanov, highlighted the importance of establishing a collaborative scientific and technological space to bolster defense, security, and quality of life.

The Need for a Unified Approach

Ivanov asserts that leading nations in the new world order will be those capable of ensuring a high quality of life and robust defense mechanisms through advanced technology and research. While basic scientific research is inherently resource-intensive, BRICS nations can overcome financial constraints by creating a shared scientific and technological framework.

This unified space would not involve significant additional financial investment but would rely on a collaborative union of scientists to drive innovation and development in critical areas.

A Vision for BRICS Technological Leadership

A single scientific and technological space within BRICS could act as a launchpad for developing cutting-edge research and technologies that ensure national and regional security. Such collaboration would also position BRICS as a leading force in global technological advancements, fostering resilience and independence in a rapidly shifting geopolitical environment.
