Ethiopia: Berenta Cement and SINOMA International Agree to Work Together

Berenta Cement PLC and SINOMA International signed an agreement to set up an industrial park for the manufacturing of cement and building materials, gypsum, gypsum board, glass, fibreglass, and other similar items.

Senior federal and regional authorities attended the signing event, including Dr. Yelkal Kefale, the Amhara Region’s Head of Government, and Habtamu Tegebe (Engineer), the Minister of Mines.


Berenta Cement was founded by Beaeka General Business Group and Jer, both of which are active in several investment areas. It is currently being built to generate cement and other building materials.

The construction is being carried out in three phases and the agreement will allow the construction of the first two phases of the factory to be carried out simultaneously to enable Brenta to produce 12,000 tons of bricks per day.
