The 19th National Jamboree of the Bharat Scouts & Guides officially began its week-long activities today, November 23, 2025, at the Defence Expo Ground in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The massive national gathering, which marks the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, is being hosted in Lucknow after a gap of 61 years. The event is set to host approximately 32,000 participants from across India and includes over 1,500 delegates from the Asia-Pacific region, making the venue a vibrant “Scout Tent City” of cultural exchange.
The Jamboree is operating under the theme “Sashakt Yuva Viksit Bharat” (Empowered Youth, Developed India), with a major focus on technology and innovation. Highlights include a first-of-its-kind IT & AI Hub offering interactive learning modules on leadership and sustainability, and a two-day drone show that will narrate the story of unity and peace through light and motion, celebrating 75 years of Indian scouting. Furthermore, safety and efficiency are prioritized with RFID Smart ID cards for entry, attendance, and real-time monitoring.Beyond technology, the event is dedicated to cultural and adventure skills. It features a special pavilion to showcase Uttar Pradesh’s ODOP (One District One Product) creations—from Banarasi silk to Lucknow’s Chikankari—aiming to boost local livelihoods and tourism. Participants will also engage in adventure activities like ziplining, wall climbing, and high ropes courses, alongside essential scouting skills, instilling the core values of discipline, service, and self-reliance among the youth.
