Land of Great Beauty: Tanzania Welcomes Chinese Tourists

Chinese tourists have arrived in Tanzania for the first time since the pandemic began. The group of 28 tourists landed at the Kilimanjaro International Airport in the Hai District of Kilimanjaro Region, Tanzania, on Saturday.

Warm Welcome from the Tanzania Tourist Board

The Chinese tourists were welcomed by the Director General of the Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB), Damasi Mfugale, who greeted them with a warm welcome. “Tanzania is a land of great beauty, abundant wildlife, and rich cultural heritage, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to share it with you,” said Mfugale.

Positive Partnership between the Two Nations

Mfugale also emphasized that the visit of the Chinese tourists to Tanzania marks a significant milestone in ongoing efforts to strengthen the cultural and economic ties between the two nations. This partnership has been ongoing since 2007 when Tanzania Fashion Tourism was founded, the first Chinese tourist company in Tanzania. The joint organization of this visit by Shaanxi Continental Culture Company of China and Tanzania Fashion Tourism is a testament to the positive relationship between the two countries.

Exciting Itinerary

The group of Chinese tourists has come from different parts of China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, and Chengdu. They will spend nine days in Tanzania, including two days in the Arusha National Park, three days in the Serengeti National Park, one day in the Ngorongoro conservation area, one day in Lake Victoria, and two days in Zanzibar. The leader of the group and general manager of Shaanxi Continental Culture Company, Wang Zhenhai, expressed his excitement about visiting the Serengeti, which is a popular destination for tourists.

Tanzania’s Hospitality

Wang also praised Tanzania’s hospitality. “I think Tanzania will be the right destination for Chinese tourists because Tanzania has beautiful hotels, professional guides, and tour drivers, and people are lovely and friendly,” said Wang

Tanzania is a top tourist destination, famous for its abundant wildlife and rich cultural heritage. The Chinese tourists visit is a positive step towards the recovery of Tanzania’s tourism industry and a significant milestone in the cultural and economic ties between the two nations. The exciting itinerary and Tanzania’s hospitality will undoubtedly make this trip a memorable experience for the Chinese tourists.
