Forbes has revealed its 2023 list of the 18 wealthiest people in Africa, along with its yearly list of billionaires from throughout the world. After earning more than $3 billion in a single year, Aliko Dangote kept his title as the richest man in Africa.
For the 12th year in a row, Aliko Dangote, chairman and CEO of the industrial conglomerate Dangote Group, has retained his title as the richest person in Africa.
Dangote’s net worth increased by $300 million in a single year to $ 14.3 billion, moving him up from 130th to 124th on Forbes’ 2023 Global Billionaires List.
Using stock prices and exchange rates, the Forbes World’s Billionaires ranking offers a snapshot of wealth each year. In addition to Dangote, 17 additional Africans were mentioned on Forbes’ list of 2,640 global billionaires for 2023.
