The court has been built to regulation size and is an immersive environment that merges creative art with a basketball experience that is open to people of all ages.

A Unique Art and Sports Experience

The CAMH COURT exhibition is a unique experience that transforms the museum gallery’s parallelogram shape into a regulation-size basketball court. Images are layered on top of the court to create an interesting experience that allows visitors to experience art in a new way. This innovative design allows people who have never visited the museum before to explore art through play.

Hancock’s Inspiration and Artistic Style

Trenton Doyle Hancock was born and raised in Paris, Texas and has been a resident of Houston for the past 23 years. He said he decided to stay because of the city’s exciting and diverse culture. His artistic style creates new worlds for audiences to explore, and CAMH COURT is an extension of this. The exhibition welcomes audiences into a space of fantasy and play, where they can dunk from the three-point line or find themselves among Bringback characters.

Visitors can enjoy the CAMH COURT exhibition until April 27, but they only have until April 23 to play on the court. It is an excellent opportunity for sports enthusiasts and art lovers alike to experience something unique and innovative in Houston.

The CAMH COURT exhibition at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston offers a unique and exciting opportunity for both art lovers and sports enthusiasts to explore a new and innovative way of experiencing art. This exhibition is a testament to Houston’s vibrant and diverse cultural scene.
